The Task:
Create a platform that hosts a variety of table games in seemless online multiplayer, with a strong focus on realistic experiences. There's no one to guide you, and no one that enforces game rules. Combined with a built-in, automatic video conferencing feature that requires no setup, the platform gives distant friends the feeling of sitting together at a table, playing games and chatting, just like they would in real life.
PlayCon was made alongside 4 other passionate students for my software project at my university.

Chess
The first game implemented in PlayCon. Fundamental logic and features were created, such as the rotateable and adjustable camera, picking up and moving pieces freely and more.

Yahtzee
Yahtzee (or Kniffel in German) inherits the fundamentals described earlier from Chess, and adds dice rolling mechanics and logic needed for this game.

Ludo
Ludo incorporates all the fundamentals and gameplay mechanics of Chess and Yahtzee. Thanks to Godot's intuitive node system, developing Ludo was quick and easy, since all the gameplay mechanics were already in place.

Mau-Mau
Mau-Mau incorporated some elements from the previous foundations, such as the camera. Numerous new game mechanics had to be implemented to make this card game work.

UNO
Given that UNO is very similar to Mau-Mau, it is essentially a redesigned version with a few minor adjustments.

Skat
Skat is a complex card game that required new game mechanics and logic to be added, but also used existing core fundamentals from the previous card games.
